Inspire Entertainment Resort
Groundbreaking $2 billion integrated casino and entertainment resort development and construction project in South Korea, which included $1 billion onshore project and convertible debt financing and $275 million offshore mezzanine/private equity financing. The project required extensive, on the ground cross-functional hands-on navigation to build the relationships with financing, construction, joint venture, and governmental stakeholders necessary for success in the South Korean business and cultural environment. The property spans over 4 million square feet and includes three 5-star hotel towers with a total of 1,275 keys, suites, and luxury villas, a gaming floor with 150 tables and 700 slots and electronic games, and other attractions such as a multi-level indoor pool dome entertainment area, a digital street, and a 15,000-seat indoor entertainment arena.
Acquisition of National Lacrosse League Franchise
Purchase and joint venture arrangement for the strategic acquisition of a stake in the professional indoor box lacrosse team the Philadelphia Wings of the National Lacrosse League. The transaction included the negotiation and implementation of a joint venture structure, navigation of league regulations and approvals, and facilitation of the team’s relocation to Connecticut, where it was successfully rebranded to operate as the New England Black Wolves.


Global Enterprise Expansion
Development and execution of comprehensive strategy for the global expansion of a Native American business enterprise, including the structuring and oversight of a 60-entity multi-jurisdictional organizational framework and related tax efficiency, management, financing, and exit strategy considerations. This work included oversight of the enterprise's Asian, European, and North American divisions within its UK-based foreign investment holding company structure, through the appointment as Representative Director of those divisions.


Fallsview Casino Resort and Casino Niagara
Acquisition of Ontario, Canada gaming operations (2 integrated casino resort properties), including development, negotiation and execution of long-term exclusive service provider arrangement with the government of Ontario and other complex transaction documents with joint venture partners and additional stakeholders. Additionally included the procurement of associated $230 million bank credit facilities and $30 million convertible debenture to partially fund the transactions.


Expo & Convention Center
Development and construction of $80 million exposition and convention center expansion. The expansion included an innovative design with 125,000 square feet of contiguous, column-free exhibit space, a 20,000-square-foot ballroom, 15 meeting rooms and pre-function areas, and a 3,100-square-foot outdoor terrace. The expansion was partially funded through a $35 million tax-exempt senior secured multi-draw term loan.


Earth Hotel Tower
Development and construction of a $140 million hotel tower, including 400 rooms, with 39 suites, a spa, fitness center, and pool, a wine bar, and terrace featuring gas fire pits and a satellite bar and food service. The 242,000-square-foot construction project was funded through one of the largest issuances of Native American economic development bonds to date, and consisted of side-by-side bond offerings by the Mohegan Tribe and its Tribal Finance Authority, and included an innovative structure in which the bonds were primarily secured by lease payments to be made after the completion of construction of the hotel through a sale-leaseback transaction.


$2B corporate refinancing transaction, including issuance of $1.5B term loan A/term loan B senior secured credit facilities and $500M senior unsecured notes exchange transaction
